Theres something wrong wit d dimensions you mentioned

outside tube: thickness = 1.5mm , diameter = 16mmÃ,  , length = 170mm
inner tube: thickness = 1.5mm , diameter = 13mmÃ,  , length = 180mm

gap between tubes = 1.5mm



Outer dia> 16mm - (1.5 + 1.5) mm thickness = 13mm inner dia of outer tube!
Your inner tube dia is 13 mm>>>>there shoulnt b a gap in between d pipes at all!! Actually if dats the case you cant put 1 pipe inside another!

It looks like u have around 2 to 3 mm gap b/w pipes for the pics.

Check ur dimensions again.

If d outer dia of inner tube is 1/2 inch  >> 12.7 mm then 1.5 mm gap is correct. Check d thickness of outer pipe for correct gap.

16 SWG = 1.626mm   17 SWG = 1.422mm   18 SWG = 1.219mm
