I am a licensed attorney in Texas, USA.  You asked the question - I tried to answer to the best of my ability.  I guess you are mad because you did not get the unconditional thumbs-up response you expected.  Frankly, you come off as an ingrate after I spent time answering your legal query, and I won't bother to do so in the future.

In the meantime, go ahead and run around like a chicken with its head cut off, moaning about the publisher getting "off with this travesty."  If you have the original Bedini-signed document - great; if not, your citation from your own website will not cut it.  Hope your friend has money for a lawyer.  Oh wait, why doesn't he just use his free energy generator and sell power to raise money for a legal defense?  What, you say, the device does not actually produce power?

If they have a copyright, they can require you not to provide copies of their work, such as on a website.  This does not in any way obligate you to remove personal copies from your hard drive.

Also, they can't copyright information (data) itself, only their specific expression of that information.  If you arrange the data in a different form, it doesn't matter where the data came from, it's legal.

However, this rule probably gets abused by copyright holders all the time, who don't realize they can't own sports scores, etc, and their victims unfotunately either do not stand up for themselves or cannot afford to get decent lawyers.

I am happy to admit i was wrong about Rick, Marica and John and made a mess of things based on what i was fed, This does not make it right but should make me look like enough of an ass to never react the same way again.

Rick, happens to be a fair and honest guy and very forgiving, Marcia is a voice of reason and very compassionate too. John well he is his own Genre. Ash well Ash has allot to learn and would like to sincerely say thanks to Marcia and Rick and John for being understanding and SORRY from me for the confusion. I intend to make up for all this. For the record John, Rick and Marica were NOT in the wrong here. I was.(surprise surprise).
