You can get pretty nice neos from Hobby Lobby, if you have one near you, if not, you can order on line.  I purchased a bunch of 1/2" dia neos for $2.99/pack of ten.  Very strong little buggers.

What I am using to adjust angle and distance is just two threaded rods/screws and therefore you can make some very fine adjustments which I believe is very important.  I am not sure if anyone has done this before.  I think they just stick the magnets up there, eyeball it and say, damn, that didn't work.  When possibly, with a few thousands of an inch adjustment, maybe it would have.  Who knows?
