Hi all,

I have been doing some magnetic experiments with a setup that consists of discs (shown in the attached picture) mounted on a shaft with a bearing on each end. The parts are mechanically quite easy to manufacture and the setup gives many possibilities and adjustments. Number of discs and distance and angle between the discs can be easily adjusted and the construction makes it possible to mount the stator elements (for example magnets) 'inside' the rotor. I have posted some of my results in 'Half baked ideas' > 'Interesting magnetic effect'.

Maybe a practical working all-magnetic or almost-all-magnetic motor can be built using this kind of discs? At least they make a versatile test bench for magnetic effects.
