Lee Crock's healing device, which is very simple (details on Keely net) has many testimonials in regard to curing tough conditions, though it sound's like SM from what has been said and his condition is probably not reversible, if it has not already taken his life.

Jack's mention of a menacing message which SM left for someone else, a copy of which was in his possession sounded rather grim and demonstrated a hostility towards SM, not much has been said of that.
