So SM is Gay, spent loads of cash and did not invent the TPU, on top of all that he has probably got AIDs and half a ton of investors after him.
The TPU is covered in PVC tape, made of wood, no batteries.
I think Jack must have been asleep when he was working on the device.

I don't think just holding the TPU in one's hands is considered 'working' on the TPU! As a matter of fact, from the talk, I don't even know if he was even privy to anything first hand. SM gave him a job of coming out with something to mimic his black box and he was witness to perhaps one or two demos and no more. So, if that's the case, I haven't missed much.

Well that was interesting as jack has painted a better picture surrounding the politics of the device. Exactly as i said a long time ago  i strongly suspected that the tpu was not SM's but from some old private inventor that may have died by now. Its highly possible the magnets did not play a part in the operation of the device other then the turn on a reed switch.  If the magnet was more critical in operation, then why did the magnet change from 2 rectangular magnets to one then even on one tpu SM is seen position a large magnet from the back of a loudspeaker onto the box in the center to activate it. This is hardly scientific in operation as if the magnet plays a critical part of the operation other then to turn on the reed switch which is of course the usage portrayed by Jack.

Regarding the bailing wire i believe SM was using the phrase ad hoc to refer to common hook up wire. The purchase of wire from radio shack is highly likely given that most US builders are buying stuff from radio shack even today to make a tpu.

Its important to understand that there may well be others that have this technology and its working right now today. Jack seems quite sure about this and given the number of investors plus the burglary its likely at least one unit was stolen and possibly replicated.

So with this information its always possible that when someone comes into the forum as in Spheric and post what appears credible information that it may be someone that has first hand experience of the the tpu somewhere in the world and is trying to help.

Each time we get new information like this its important to go right the way back to grass roots and rebuild the picture of the how and whys.

As much as everyone maybe disappointed  its still a fresh lead. The allegations for true or false may even spur SM to make new contact if he is able to or indeed other parties may now come out the closet.
