Has anyone heard from Hans von Lieven lately?

G?day all,

First of all I would like to apologise for having been walkabout for such a long time without notifying anyone. It was only meant to be for about two weeks but it dragged on longer than I anticipated, stretching to almost two months.

Even then I only returned to Sydney to attend a lecture series on Philosophy at Sydney University to which I had committed myself to some months ago.

If I had known what kind of upheaval I was causing at the overunity forum I would have not been so casual about it.

I am really touched by your concern about my absence.

I only now realise that in the past months I have become a member of a family here who genuinely cares about my wellbeing. I feel deeply honoured by your response and am genuinely sorry to have caused so much worry amongst people I have a lot of respect and affection for.

In the coming days, as my schedule permits, I will sort through two months worth of E-mails and answer any personal mail I have received during that time.

In the meantime, please accept my apology.
