Meyer Reverse

Dear All,

Together with a friend, who has a very nice workshop,
we started into some Water splitting or whatever.

Inspired from Keely(or lets say in the advent of have
some supersonic happening)', we use tubular bell type cast
a2 with inner tube mounted with rubber at the knot points
of the standing wave if the tube is mechanical excited in
normal water (measured this with piezo sensors in water bath).

We did some passivation runs on the cell so far - and are
actually reverse engineering the meyer basic setups.

Because of the acoustic (or shall we call it aqoustic!?) behaviour
we will start with pulse frequencies in the 2-6kHz Range.

2 Days ago we had a very nice session using different impulse
transformers with the following outcome:

Meyer uses his "resistive wire" which is not specified in any other
means in his secondary circuit - to prevent "dc" or however he means
that.
Technically (and I think so far Meyer refers to tradional EE) the only
way he could mean that is that he wants to supress the potential(flux)
caused by the pulse trigger - the periode of pulses - no pulses.
He definitly wants to have just razorsharp, high energy pulstrains,
no fundamentals of the pulstrain dutycycle !!???

Using his resistive wire - he achieves high damping for the pulstrain
dutycycle (collapsing flow from this has to be handled by primary coil),
and high coupling for the pulsetrains.... !!!????

The transformer is just matching the impedance of the driver circuit
to the series lc ciruit consisting of choke and watercap.

Am I right if I assume that the excitation Voltage of the secondary
coil there is only some hundred volts !????

The real high voltage assembles in the oscillating series lc.

Any comments on that !?????

At least we found so far some nice ring type ferrite used in
industrial EMI control which can handle these type of pulses
pretty nice.... 
With that input we plan another test run.

The measured capacity on the water caps @4kHz is around 600nF,
so we plan to use chokes with 100-600uH.
The planned output from the secondary should be around 100V.
