Oxygen sensor stand-off, and reseting F150 Computer yield poor results

I was getting ready to introdice HHo to my F150 5.7 Liter , Triton engine. I was already getting 21 MPG on the morning commute, but I wanted to kick it up to 30 or better.  My understanding was that the standoffs for the oxy sensors would increase mpg a small amount all by themselves.  The opposite is what happened, my mileage went to no better than 10 mpg on the same trip that use to give me no better than 21 mpg. So i ran it for a could of weeks and put a couple of hundred miles on the computer. I did reset the computer by taking power away for 5 minutes when i changed the Oxy sensor spacers.
So I took the spacers off and did not reset the computer, and the mileage did not return to 21 MPG, or even increase over the poor 10 mpg I was getting. Boy, do I feel screwed now!  Can anyone shed any light on this for me? I will put the HHO online this weekend, but even if it kicks me up to 20 MPG, basically an 100% increase (near impossible), I will still not be back to where I was before I started.
My HHO generator is made of 13 plates, 3x14, you can see it under my youtube page under Killthemessengers.

Do the MAP sensor mod ... you will also need to clear your computer with a code reader unplugging will not work ... the O2 sensors have to have the voltage mods to them check out google for chemelec for this.  Remember when the O2 sees more O it thinks it can add more fuel ... also check out your draw on the plates and thing higher then 15 amps will not increase your results but produce more drag ... I would do a GEET mod on it for better results but it will cost you more to do the headers.  My chev 350 gets around 38 with the HHO (but mine is highly tuned with after market computer ... and no do not ask for pics)  My Caravan with the GEET mod gets almost 52 and no I will not send pics ... that is all the hints I will give.

I bought a Scangauge II, will that do any of what I need to do with resetting my computer?  Can you tell me why removing the power for 5 minutes did change things for the worse, but your saying that it did nothing to reset my computer?

Thanks, pictures are not needed.   Joe

your sensors leaned out the engine too far, your computor knew this with no addition present, and went into open loop, battery disconnection / computor reset is twenty min on most cars, and yeah a scan gauge tool should clear it up, but the ones they use at autozone, not the mpg reading ones
thats just what i think...

I see that Actron makes lots of models of Scan Tools, and they sel them at some Autozones. Can you tell me which of the models will allow me to reset, or modify settings in my Ford computer? They go up pretty high in price, so start with the bottom model and work up from there. I will buy what I want to afford.  Most of what I read, said that the Scan Tool will read data rom sensors, and clear codes. I didn't see where it would allow changes to the computer.  Which models allow the changes needed to the sensors?
