Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Free energy, an interesting concept, of course anything that is free is always interesting to me. At one time oil was free, it was even considered a nuisance, it smelled, and was unsightly when seeping from the ground. It bothered the white man so much that eventually Indians were moved to locations around the oil fields;after all what educated, refined, white man would want to live on top of one of these fields? How time changes everything. Since I am addicted to anything free, I am now interested, thanks to the many articles I have been reading on the internet, in magnetic motors and hydrogen. Yes, I think both of these are possible and I am willing to invest time and money in attempting to succeed where others have failed. But, first, I would like to share some of my thoughts with the world, regarding this "free" energy.

While reading various articles I have run across the names of a number of people who have claimed they have found the secrets of free energy. These are people like Howard Johnson, Stanley Meyers, Bedini, LUTEC, Michael Brady, and many others. Did they really find the secrets? Are they con men? Are they scientists and experimenters? I don't have any of these answers but at the very least these people have inspired me to try my hand at this free energy game. One common thread that all these people have in common is they have patented their inventions yet it seems no one else is smart enough to replicate their invention based on their patents. What gives here? Some say that inventors will leave out some little detail in their patent application so that no one can replicate their idea. It seems to me that if that dirty little detail is left out then someone could put that dirty little detail in a new patent application and become the owner of a functioning machine and an extremely profitable machine. My thinking is that unless an invention can be replicated time and time again, then the inventor was either very lucky or the invention is a fraud. Another common thread is the publicity. A big splash is made in the media; big claims are made; the product will go into production and in a short time everyone will have one. Funny, I can't seem to find any one of these items on ebay. What is the problem here? Are these people just looking for someone to give them start up capital with no intention of bringing the item to market? In my humble opinion, if these guys really had found the secret they would be swimming in money.

What really bothers me is the people who scam investors with their phony inventions. People are hungry for a solution to the present day pollution and high energy costs and a lot of would-be investors are willing to take a chance on shaky ideas. However, the scam artists make it difficult for people who are really serious about building a successful device. The scam artists put on all kinds of eye wash, bells and whistles, and flash and bang to compensate for their lack of real science and ingenuity. Yet the guy that is working from his garage and really has a great idea with real possibility and who only needs some financial assistance don't have a chance. First of all this garage guy don't have all the glitz and glitter to enamor the potential investor. He is possibly not well spoken and can't hire a PR firm to do his talking for him, he is a scientist, not an actor. Just watch some of the U-Tube videos and you will see what I mean. Some of the U-Tube guys have some really good ideas for starters, imagine what some of those guys could do with some real financial backing. I will predict that sooner or later a real, working, and practical "free energy" device will be built in someone's garage and not in some highly financed lab. It's these garage guys who need financial help in building their projects. They don't need millions of dollars perhaps just a few hundred or even a few thousand will make the difference between success and failure. Unfortunately, because of the scam artists, I fear it will be a bumpy road.

Speaking of U-Tube, have you noticed that the so called successful free energy machines; the machines that can actually turn a generator or run a car are always shot in extremely poor video quality. I would think that if I had a successful machine to show the world that I would strive to make a video that no only shows the entire machine, back, front, sides, and bottom, but also of reasonably high quality. I don't think I would use a cheap cell phone camera to make a video to announce to the world I have succeeded. After all, a decent video camera can be purchased for under $300 today. If I couldn't afford to purchase some flood lights, I would take the thing outside on a sunny day, that is free. Also tripods are not expensive but a table or step ladder will also stop the shaking. When I see videos like this I am extremely skeptical. Oh yes! the product will be on the market and in everyone's home in a year or so, RIGHT!

Last but not least; Tesla's lab burned, Stanley Meyers poisoned, Bedini threatened and many more stories like this. Do I trust our government?  Hell No!  Do I distrust big business and big money? Hell Yes!  These stories and others like them are all over the web, people being killed or threatened because their inventions would upset the status quo. I don't know whether to believe any of these stories or not. I would not necessarily dismiss them but I have to take them with a grain of salt. Even if someone came out today with an engine that really did run on pure water and a motor that ran from magnetism and produced usable horsepower I don't see any earth shaking changes to the business community. It would be no different from when electric and gas motors started taking the place of steam engines, the world didn't end and business didn't stop. This equipment would be very expensive, perhaps inefficient, large in size, expensive to maintain. I don't think the electric or oil companies have anything to worry about for a long time. Why should they care, have you heard of diversification? Why resort to violence when money, non-compete or no disclosure agreements work well. Give this poor boy a few million and I will happily retire to a foreign country and never be heard from again. Speaking only for myself, if some goons wearing their cheap black suits came into my shop after I had perfected a magnetic motor or engine that runs on pure water and told me I would have to stop work on the project, I would tell them to go to hell and run them out of my shop. Let them burn the building, destroy the plans, destroy the prototype, short of killing me they could not destroy my memory. It goes where I go. If my life were threatened, I would send plans to many people with the instruction, if I die, for whatever reason, release these plans to as many people and media as possible. The internet, flash memory, media and good friends would prevent this. I'm not afraid and no one else should be either. Just a note to the goons in the cheap black suits: If you come, bring plenty of ammo, large lunch, and lots of friends, your going to need them.

Thanks for reading my rant here, I hope that all those working on these free energy projects will continue on despite the scam artists and the fear stories. It is time that we get serious about our energy needs for the days of cheap fossil fuel are over. We are not going to run out of oil, it is just going to get more expensive as times goes on. Not since the 1970's has the door been open as wide to our ideas but we are going to have to work to get our successes out harder than ever. It is going to cost more to run our experiments but don't give up, that is the key to success. Don't listen to the naysayers; the naysayers said it was impossible for the human body to stand speeds in excess of 20 mph; how fast did you go today? Start small and work smart, and above all good luck.

Howdy HVACTeacher,

Nice rant!  I have to say that a lot of your opinions are shared by myself, and many others on this forum.  First of all, you only need an original idea to get a patent.  There is no requirement for feasibility, plausibility, or even functionality.  The whole concept is ridiculous now.  Your right about the funding for research being in the wrong places.  Research on a national level is obsessed with blowing ourselves up with bigger and better nukes.  Corporate research is obsessed with make a cheaper piece of crap product so that the stockholders make more money.  The honest, albeit poor, garage researcher have the great ideas and literally no funding.  I am not saying that just throwing money at the problem is going to solve it.  But wouldn't it be nice if these garage researchers with all the great ideas had the financial backing to put all their time into their projects and not having to work the day job to generate revenue to support the research?  I know my projects would move a lot faster that way.  Well, maybe I'll win the lottery, hahahahahhahaaa....

You have to be careful about the content on the internet.  Many claim overunity to puff up their self importance, and others do it just as disinformation, or to make quick money.  These charlatans should be jailed for fraud.  The universe is nothing but energy.  What we think of as matter is energy moving in tight little circles.  Take a seemingly solid piece of oak wood, tough stuff.  Light it on fire and it releases its energy back into the universe from where it previously came from.  Energy to matter to energy again.  I suspect that  many have been totally successful in collecting, scavenging, and generating "free" energy.  It is when they get excited about it, and shout it from the rooftops that they attract the attention of amoral persons looking to "protect" what they have.  The inventor gets intimidated, his shop get ransacked, his family gets threatened, or even worse.  These unfortunate things lead the inventor to "change" his story, or give up the endeavor altogether.  This is all so very sad.  These garage researchers should be hailed as national heroes and given a ticker tape parade, and instead many of them are forced to hide their miraculous technology.  What does this say about our "controlled" society.  I know that the "dark" forces are fixing to meet their end.  We won't have to put up with this problem for much longer.  Once the "dark" forces are destroyed we will see the most amazing progress in every field of science, art, and humanity.  Until then keep an eye out for the dudes in cheap black suits wearing ugly sunglasses.  I keep a nice thick piece of hickory in my 4X4 just in case one of these guys needs his sunglasses "adjusted".

Thanks for the support Z.Monkey.
The other day John McCain stated that he wants to offer $300,000,000.00 for finding a better battery. When I heard this I thought how ridiculous, just think what a bunch of garage guys could do with only a small fraction of that money. However, once again, everything is geared to the big boys with nothing but headaches going to us little guys. Just think if that money was put into a fund specifically for small experimentation. Granted there would need to be safeguards against misuse like buying a plasma tv for the den but I think something could be put into place. I think the fund would have to understand there are going to be frauds and be prepared to write off or pursue the fraud like the government already does with child support or student loans. It wouldn't be a perfect system but just look at all the perfect systems the government has already. Hmmmm! I'm trying to think of one.

If a garage guy would sign up for one of these grants, not loan, and agree to share a reasonable percentage of the profits or royalties with the fund I am guessing the fund would explode with money. Perhaps once again the United States could lead the world in something besides debt. I'm not saying that the US is not a great country but after years and years of silly economics, laws for laws, and stifling taxes, maybe once again we can lead the world. Read your history books, back in the late 1800's and early 1900's this was a time of invention and innovation. Even as late as the 1950's there was a lot of optimism and forward thinking. It seemed as if the inventors were first interested in making a better life for the average person and secondly the money would follow. Today I think it is the other way around. Take a few moments and think of major inventions that were invented, not just improved, after 1960. I'm hard pressed to think of very many.

I was joking about the men in cheap black suits, I don't think it happened. I think these stories were made up by people to cover their lack of a real invention. If I had a great idea and encountered the "suits", even if they confiscated everything I would still have my memory. It is much easier to rebuild the second time than working out all the details the first time. Anyone smart enough to invent a functional magnetic motor or engine that runs on water should be smart enough to protect his ideas. Friends, family, flash memory sticks, and even the media can be used as protection. However, I fail to see how just one person working on an idea in his garage could  cause so much havoc. If the suits would murder someone this would bring all kinds of attention, especially if the family and friends starting calling the media. Look at what happened at Ruby Ridge and with the Branch Dividians, talk about publicity.

I agree there are a lot of Dark Forces today that are vested in keeping the people subservient to the large monolithic corporations and government. However, like you say, there time is coming and I think the good people, like us, will eventually win out. Every time that invention and innovation has been stifled or thwarted sooner or later it will back fire. Once again I suggest looking back into history and you will see that sooner or later the good people will win. Unbridled greed is what we are seeing today, both in business and government. Sooner or later it will stop. If I recall, come this Friday we are celebrating one of those times when the good people won. Perhaps the time is not in the too distant future where we need to have another revolution, only this time we don't need guns or bullets but we can do it at the ballot box. Sooner or later we the people will get fed up with what is going on and put a stop to it. As Scarlet  O'hare said, "tomorrow is another day". Thanks again

I agree with what's being said here.

I do wish greed wasn't as powerful as it is. If someone DID manage to work out a solution to capture 'free' energy, the best way of de-risking the whole thing would be to share it with thousands. Much like how small fish swim in schools to avoid the chances of being eaten by predators, the more people who know about your idea, the greater the chance is that it will make it to the point of doing some use. Of course, in reality, there will be one guy who gets hold of the idea and files the patent for it in the hope of making $$$.

So there is a big chance that whoever invents it will keep it to themselves in the hope of becoming rich, or if they do spread the idea around, someone else will pick up on it and lock it down.

Open source is the best way to blur the target I reckon.

Just because we have not discovered something does not mean it has been suppressed.  You could substitute "magic genie lamps" for "free energy," and using the suppression arguments, reach the conclusion that the reason we do not have magic genie lamps is because the technology for them has been "locked up" by those who do not want us to have free wishes.
