Hello

Here are some basic pulley-lever configurations. It might be useful to you guys. the aim is to make heavy weights relatively lighter.

Could you explain how they work?
The love of God is great and true,
A special thing for Him and you,
A perfect friend, a Father too,
Lift up your hearts for He is true.

Sure. The first file shows the heavier balanced weight of 4kg each. They are hung on pulleys. The 1kg weight is attached to a lever as it falls down, it lift the balanced 4kg weight without much effort. It is up to the imagination of the inventor of how he can apply this method into a gravity wheel.

The second shows two weights of the same mass attached to a pulley. It's path is modified by using a slider. you will notice that the weight on the right side will be relatively heavier than the weight on the left side (ie. it will fall and lift the weight on the left side).

The third one use the same concept as the first one only it uses 1 pulley.

The pictures are copied from Working Model 2005. so if you are familiar with the program you will know what each components represent.

Thank you, looks good but the light weight isn't really lifting a heavy one is it, because you have two weight lifting one, unless the small and large weight were on the wheel but the other one that falls could somehow not effect the wheel?
