It is just a Gaussian gun with sphere magnet.

It's something new to me too and still looking at more videos.

PS: with archers magnetic switch you can probably get something interesting out of this. Imagen 3 balls and one magnet. You start by a ball connected on each side of the magnet (ball - magnet - ball ) and the third hitting it ( ball - magnet - ball                <----ball ) . You first collide the steel ball against the setup and let the other side shoot off and come back through a circular track, while this is happening you "switch off" the magnet, and let the ball that just made a lap collide normally. Now again the other side will shoot off. But you don't let this one go circular instead you let it go up a ramp and back down ,while this is happening you switch the magnet back on, then as it falls and hits the ball the process is repeated.

I have a sphere magnet and played with this.. the magnet always has to be at the end.. so there isn't a way to automatically reset it.. it is very cool though.  The repelling ball goes many times faster than the trigger ball!
