Is anyone here familiar with googel earth? I am a numpty at it and only just downloaded it but over the Northern hemisphere there is a weird solid blue triangle. Is google earth real time? are there generally glytchs on the pictures? can someone else have a look?

Google Earth acquires the best imagery available, most of which is approximately one to three years old. The information in Google Earth is collected over time and is not 'real time' in nature. For example, it's not possible to see real time changes in images.

thanks for that..does that include weather patterns and atmosphere? I understand that the 'imagery' ie, buildings and landscape is older, just wondered about the weather , cloud patterns, etc.

I agree with broli. The day here is only half over. even though I am a skeptic on the claim, I would like it to be true, for I would like these swap gas and weather balloon stories to stop.
