Ok, guys.
I live in Montgomery, AL, USA. After living under Bush for the last 8 years, I don't give a flying fuck whether he is Bush's distant cousin or not. Yes, distant cousin! I'm distant 11th or 13th cousins whatever-times removed with Louis Pasteur and Felix Mendelssohn, but does that prove anything? Nope.

Also,
http://wikileaks.org/leak/obama-1961-birth-announcement-from-honolulu-advertiser.pdf
"This Honolulu Advertiser announcement of Barack Obama's Aug 4, 1961 birth was published August 13, 1961 on page B-6. It is available only on microfilm in Hawaii libraries. The announcement is 4th from the bottom of the left hand column."

That is proof enough for me. He was born to an AMERICAN mother in Hawaii. That makes him a natural-born citizen.

After 8 years of Bush, we are desperate! Just his first two days in office, Obama already issued 5 executive orders nullifying and reversing some of Bush's illegal and immoral executive orders, ordered ALL CIA prisons to be closed and none to ever exist again, ordered the closing of Guantanamo prison, set new limits on executive privilege, and banned any form of torture or inhumane treatment of prisoners or degrading treatment of prisoners(like it already says in the Constitution, but Bush and some illegal laws passed canceled that). We are in two illegal wars. We need someone to end that! So far, Obama has kept his word and has produced positive executive orders just in his first two days. He is getting things done already; for the better!

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't trust any politician farther than I can throw one, but so far he has been ok. The US and the world could not afford another republican president. The last one destroyed our economy, our education system, our image across the world, our health care, etc.

Just personally on the issue of natural-born citizenship, I don't give a rats ass if someone was born inside the borders of the USA. Hell, Bush was and look at what he did to us! What matters is how one is raised, the culture the family instills, the culture the environment instills, etc. is what makes the person.
Americans need to get their heads out of their asses. This country is a toilet now. We need someone to clean the shit out!  ;D

Just like engineering, being president is always a trade-off, and you cannot satisfy all people (especially not immediately). But just look at the last couple of days what executive orders and memos Barack has issued. They almost guarantee that this administration will look worse than previous ones because he allows errors to be shown. Some of these guys have real balls. Other politicians have been "removed" for less. So be careful in judging too quickly -- the issues coming to light might have been lingering around for a long time already and we just haven't seen them.

We live under a government of LAWS; and the law that governs our nation is the United States Constitution. Maybe you don't give a rats if Obama follows the law, but there are a large number of Americans that do. If YOU and I have to follow the law, then Obama needs to follow the law too. What makes you think he is above the law? Just because he was elected under false pretenses and fooled all those people that voted for him? That's OK with you? Don't you care what kind of country you leave your children?

If he is above the law then it is just like the Orwellian book "Animal Farm". Like it showed at the end of the book when all the freedoms were gone and total Oligarchy was established: Everyone was equal, but some were more equal than others. In other words, those in charge didn't have to obey the rules.

His mother was under 18 when he was born, thus unable to confer American Citizenship on him. His father was a British citizen living in Indonesia. Therefore he was a British citizen. See the Phil Berg videos on YouTube, he explains it all. When Obama was older he also travelled to Indonesia when only Indonesian citizens were allowed to go there.

I cannot believe how many Americans no longer care about the Law,  all they care about is what they can steal out of the system.

Research is the only place in a company where you can continually have failures and still keep your job.

I knew immediately that was where I belonged.

If I don't like someone's point of view it doesn't mean I should not be friendly to them.

Its easier to change someone's mind if you have a rapport with them.

For instance I like RR2 but don't see eye to eye with him on some things...but I will never be able to convince him he's wrong if I say something to antagonize him. :)

Once you have someone's respect you have their ear also.

Lastly...I wasn't aware their was an age restriction of conference of citizenship...that seems so unfair.

And was Obama born stateside ?

I'm still holding out a glimmer of a hope that he will find it too hard to dash all those high hopes...and to be truthful, I would do the right thing and face certain assassination...rather than live my life as the most despised man on the planet.

@all

I really think we should stay clear of politics , we are working hard on energy , we don't need to be visited by politicians .
