I will tell you some of my understanding to understand Tesla's novel invention. You should think simple as Tesla wanted to give it to the people on very simple and understandable illustration. The answer to your question about the resonant frequency the only and solely reason of this resonant frequency is the CAPACITANCE of both or each inductor and condenser instruments. The key to Tesla's device efficiency is the Conderser and nothing else. The reason to Energy Amplification is still the Condenser.

I think people on Earth still don't know when if World War will again happen. Bomb(what ever you call it) is nothing compared to Condenser. Which the Americans have already replicated all Secret Weapons of Nikola Tesla.

Tesla mention it, There is no limit of energy you can create with Condenser, than the energy created with a bomb(referring to atomic bomb). 

Tesla has invented devices or weapons much advance that the Nuclear Bombs as you think is the most powerful weapon ever created. Tesla called this devices Weapons to End War. It is a device/weapon that created to search and destroy any invasion(human) or incoming weapons(missile) of the enemy.
