I got the core from an older flyback transformer its really not that big just looked like it in the pic.
Im thinking of rewinding using three wires, I think Im catching the bemf off the primary's so Im going to run a trifilar and loop the field back into the tranny before collecting.
I may have to draw that out, see pic
I want to use the energy in the secondary to create another field before pulling it out.

I played with the circuit most of the day the only way I could get the amp draw to go down I added a second choke with opposing windings and a magnet on the core, dropped the amp draw by a little over an amp.
Im not sure how much it effected the output need to get my meters in.

Trying to understand how the field works
If the field only reversed using ac to drive the coil it would be easy, but using dc we have bemf that reverses the polarity of the coil so this indicates the field is collapsing in reverse, if it continued in the forward direction there would be no bemf.
If the field ran opposed to the current direction all the time (as I once thought) then there would be no femf, so the field must grow in one direction then reverse and collapse in the other.
The bemf keeps us from tapping a coil like a flywheel, SM figured out how to stop bemf Im not sure but I have an idea how he did it.

The only way to stop bemf is to feed directly into another coil then when the pulsed coil stops conducting there would be no field to reverse.
I think this can be done using two toroids watch this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpkh7_Eyctw the electric arc cannot pass through the barrier (iron toroid) but I bet if there was a conductive path (winding on the toroid) through the toroid the arc would pass through, through the conductor.
The same would be true if the field were electric it would have to enter the conductor to pass through the barrier, effectively capturing the field, so no field left to cause bemf.
