hey Dave n Leely

No, no free energy yet.      Didnt have much time for that this weekend.  Will be testing the bifi primary for res freq tonight. Plus Ive been wanting to test out this Xprotolabs freq sweep and spectrum analyzer 1hz-125khz. Im hoping for a bump in that range else I need to wind a bifi with finer wire. Would like to stay below 100khz, and below 50khz if possible.

Then once I have the freq round about, the Xprotolabs wave form gen has square with duty cycle adjustments to drive a mosfet with driver to pulse the primary.  And the scope can monitor whats going on. The mosfet is from the PS that I pulled the transformer from and it is rated at 600v.

I also want to try using collapse current from a separate coil to try and pulse the bifi, being the capacitance of the bifi will accept the collapse spike, where a normal coil will impede it.
Tito said to charge the capacitor with a coil, so this maybe what he is saying. 

Easy enough to try.
