What are you trying to prove?

So Very Wrong

It takes more energy to raise a weight by block and tackle than by doing it directly. The block and tackle takes less force to raise the weight but the trade off is you must apply the force for much longer.

Overall the amount of energy required to raise a weight using a block and tackle is a little bit more because the block and tackle introduces more friction. Even the rattling of the chain consumes energy!

No matter how you try to raise a weight (assuming a frictionless mechanism), it takes the same energy to raise a weight to the same height. Add in friction and other losses and some methods are more wasteful in raising a weight.

This is the reason why it is impossible for a gravity wheel to work, You CANNOT get more work out of a falling object then what you put into it to get it up there. I don't say this because I was told it, I say it because I have tested it extensively myself. Yes even skeptical me can't resist trying out things I think of.

Tell that to the 80 year old lady down the street, or doesn't she matter ?

To even charge a one 60 amp hour battery that weight would need to be lifted at least 50 maybe 100 times, in my opinion.

EDIT: We could calculate how long it would take to hit the ground by seeing how far it dropped during the video. I'm guessing a 1/2 hour drop time with about maybe 50 watts output if a car alternator was attached, providing he can even get the thing to spin fast enough for a car alternator. If he uses a modified or purpose built slow rev generator he would be better off building a wind powered generator.

And the stream has 45 PSI pressure out a nozzle. I have a 10 000 liter rainwater tank (that's 10 000 kgs or 10 tons of water) about 10 feet off the ground  and I can stop the flow from a 10 mm outlet with my finger. But it flows for free no pump.

I'm finding the 45 PSI difficult to believe.

Now to get 45 psi pressure head from a static water column we multiply 45 psi x 2.31 to get the required water column height of 104 feet. Although the stream is kinetic, still it seems odd. To get 45 psi he would need some kind of pressurizing setup I think. I would like to see how he gets the water from the stream to the nozzle outlet.

Now my tank has a water depth of about 5 feet so the head pressure is 5 / 2.31 = 2.1 psi which explains why I can stop it with my finger.
