Nice quotes. I think they point to the one area that's still missing in my own deductions as to how this whole thing comes together. Forest's response made me pull out my copy of Tesla's "Work with Alternating Currents..." by Anderson again. I really need to go through it. I think it will hold the key to putting everything together all the parts Tito has talked about.

So far, I see this as a multi-stranded litz wire coil with a perpendicular coil "kicking" it with a pulse (from a computer fan, or JT, or 555 etc.)  The litz coil captures the inductive kickback and multiplies it.  From there, I guess it can be dumped into swbf pancake coils in series to step-up voltage.  But really, I need to go back to the Tesla book and start reading, because over and over, Tito has spoken of the TMT as a key part of the setup.  A.king21's comments have jolted me back to this important part. 

Somewhere in there as well, there's a zener diode, perhaps as part of a loop-back mechanism.  But you know, now that I think about it, once the ringing of the coils begins, it only takes a strategic small amount of pulsed energy to keep it going. Could it be that the zener is allowing just enough voltage back to the litz coil to keep kicking it so that it continues to ring? Could it be that this is a key to what Tesla means by "resonant transformer" in A.King's quote?

Yes. Saw that in the quotes as well - couldn't help but think of all you've been saying in this regard Dave.
Guess we gotta keep chipping away until it all comes together.  We're much closer to it now than when we started. :)
