not sure what the white square is... I picked a bulb, but it won't turn on without leaving the switch closed a while.

The white square seems to be a load in MarkE schemas, so your bulb must be a good substitute. Try to use a simple resistor instead to see whether it makes any difference.

EDIT  just saw you used 4 Henry transformer coils, that is which needs time to charge up so you may wish to reduce it to the some ten mH range.  Also the transformer needs a series resistor to represent wire resistance, to get more realistic sim results.

default resistors are key 'R' they start as 100ohm.  Adding a '.' before to make .1 (100m) ohm works pretty good fore 'wire'
right default transformer is insane inductance :)  but that puts it within the domain of 'takes some time to see changes occur'  but ya, a smaller inudctance would conduct faster and spike faster... the bulb is 100W to start... charging for like 20 seconds (sim time) I got mW across the bulb... so maybe 100 ohm resistor instead... the LED (key 'L' )is a nice visual load too with current indicator

The collapse of the magnetic field into the coil is bemf. If you study the circuit from the electron flow perspective it appears as back emf but if studied from a conventional perspective it appears to be forward emf.

from either view the current remains the same and doesn't reverse.  The collapse of the field maintains the forward inertia... the build of the field is what prevents the flow in the first place.  The field collapse is what makes it work as a filter so well, because the current is mainted forward as it's allowed to collapse... if it spontaneously reversed then chokes would not work to filter noise, they would amplify the noise.


a voltage gradient is present, a current starts, a field builds, the current gets to it's max... when the current stops the field collapses and squeezes out the last bit of current the same direction that it got when the filed first started to build.  Until the field is entirely collapsed the current cannot reverse.


unless you change your notation in the middle and talk about conventional current and electron current in the same breath there is no reversal of either paradigm itself; only when changing from one view to the other at whim.
