Something I thought odd but didnt understand at the time.
This coil was frozen in water the coil was powered using 12v dc running an automotive bulb.
Notice the straight lines around the edges of the container, honeycomb structure  ;)

So tell me guys why am I getting a honeycomb structure around only one coil, I could see it if I had a number of coils but only one.
Whats pushing against that coil.

The hexagon shape is caused by the coils magnetic field curling around to connect to the other pole
