WHAT I BELEAVE TO HAPPEN IN THIS UNIT AS SHOWEN WHEN THE PRIMARY IS

POWERED AND INTRURPTED AT ITS NATURAL RUNNING FREQ.. 

THE KICK WILL BE FORCED BACK INTO THE DRIVEING CAP CHARGEING HIGHER IN VOLTAGE...

THUSS RUNNING WITH GAIN ...

SO THE FOLOWING DUMP WILL BE OF MUCH HIGHER VOLTAGE..   

TO THE PRIMARY AND IF THE CHOKE COIL IS NOT ENOUGH RESISTANCE USE A RELAY COIL ....

Have you found its natural running frequency?

I am winding a very big core today. It may be the same size as yours. Its frequency is naturally a lot slower. I expected this, but it is a lot. (17KHz at 1000 ohm base resistance) .  I hope I can get enough voltage from 240 turns to keep the voltage high enough when I up the base resistor to raise the frequency.
I like the plan to snap the cap at the rate of the MK2 pulses. Good idea.

The resistor I refer to is in the MK2 first coil set up as a joule thief.

Then it is collected in a cap then the cap discharges into the one you have there and that discharge is the frequency that has no resistor.

Did I get that right?
