Yes I had seen his video a few days ago.

What I was seeing in his demo (see diagram below) is that just like the spinner is spinning at the bottom of the vase, if he put another vase and spinner on the top of the magnet gate, he should be able to have two spinners since the gate field should be identical in both directions. Except one should turn the other way.

Check the videos again, nice flat area in the bottom of the bowl and 4th video the bowl is on top and a flat glass flan plate is used for the base. No curves.
