What about electrodes geometry? Makes any difference? example? ...
Are you sure the current you detected is not attributed to the changing magnetic field rather than to captured charged particles?

I remember that the placement of the electrodes mattered (just like in a positive and negative corona discharges) because the positive ions were so massive that they would not get accelerated very much and the electrode catching them had to be close by.
On the other hand, the stripped electrons were light and became significantly accelerated before the gas intercollision time put a cap on the distance that they traveled. Thus the electrode catching the negative charges could be much further away.

I am sure that the current detected could not be attributed to the changing magnetic field because it changed significantly between nitrogen and helium and did not follow the Faraday's Law of induction.

Can you describe your setup? .... What about the non static or moving magnetic field..

The air was ionized with 20kV 16kHz PDC from a TV Flyback transformer driven by the TL494 PWM controller and H-Bridge HEXFET output stage using a fine mesh copper electrodes.
The major difference was the technique used to create the relative velocity between the electric charges and the magnetic field (in the Lorentz force equation F=qV x B)

You used a mechanical air fan, and I used a Lorentz Fan which creates much greater relative velocity and can accelerate even non-moving (static) charges.

with this lorenz fan setup is it possible to accelerate the charges to a point of cavitation?  just curious because some have realized excess or annomolous heat from hydrodynamic cavitation.
