Well, it is really a different circuit in the video than the one
posted in my last message.
I just watched it now several times again and you can already see,
that one transistor on the heat sink is directly connected to a coil
on the blue aircore ? or ferrite ? transformer.

Also the output bulb is conected differently as the ground wire is connected
directly to one pole of the lamp, which he is also touching.
In the upper circuit diagramm the ground still goes through another coil first,
so it is really different.

Well, I hope that this youtube user SR193 comes forward with a real circuit
diagramm or at least explains what is really needed for this effect to work..

Well, it could be that the 2 transistors and this
switch at the back are only the circuit to
switch between 4700 uF supply and
selfrunning supply and that the posted simpler
circuit diagramm is just the basic selfrunning
circuit ?

Hmm, a simple switch that needs to be cooled by large heatsinks and a cooler?
The cooler implies that the transistors are constantly running and
he sais in the video : the transistors serve for the generation of high voltage.
The fact that it is 2 and not 1 transistor can indicate that this
is for creating a non-pulsed, sinusoid HV.

Stefan had a good idea. To look at the video closely and reconstruct
the possible schematic, the wires are a bit messy, but it should be possible to get a majority of the visible connections.

Stefan, he emphasizes the ferromagnetic core. That seems to be his main point, everything else being trivial. Otherwise, you may be right about the lack of transistors in your earlier comment. Indeed, it would be good if he would come here and explain that more clearly.
