This is complete nonsense. The TK spark gap (and big coil) is for distraction purpose only. I'm not sure yet whether the high voltage is a by-product of the energy generation in the device or also just a deliberately build-in distraction, but I'm sure that the spark has nothing to do with the generation of energy. That means any TK replica that needs a spark gap does either not work or is a fake.

The spark gap makes sense as a wide bandwidth pulse generator in the context of McFeey's analysis.
Of course a quiet DSRD nanopulser would be much better than a spark gap.

I agree that the big winding most likely impresses demobuyers OR filters strong pulses of current OR inductively couples those pulses.

A spark-gap is a short pulse generator. It is particularly useful in generating high current transients in coils. The higher the voltage applied to the coil, the faster the current increases in the coil. The spark-gap used as a short pulse generator may usually be replaced by a semiconductor device, but not always. The spark-gap visible in Kapanadze demonstrations may indeed have nothing to do with energy generation. This does not mean that it cannot be used in energy generation in general.
