A spark-gap is a short pulse generator. It is particularly useful in generating high current transients in coils. The higher the voltage applied to the coil, the faster the current increases in the coil. The spark-gap used as a short pulse generator may usually be replaced by a semiconductor device, but not always. The spark-gap visible in Kapanadze demonstrations may indeed have nothing to do with energy generation. This does not mean that it cannot be used in energy generation in general.

I did think before spark gap is for limiting voltage, not allow run upper, spark gap does more in coils?

Your correct the spark is a distraction,this is to reinforce
the illusion its a Tesla invention.This may take a while but your going to find out that
the ground is not needed,another illusion,the spark is not needed for the device to work.Ignore those that keep saying its a fake,there full of it,you can't solve this in an ordinary way.The inventor does not want you to ever figure out hes device so will use every trick in the book.

Having spent many hours studying the videos and following this thread, I tend to agree with you that both the ground and the spark are not needed and that he has used plenty of tricks, notably the 'sleeve' trick in the 'green box device' video.
