I know Tesla was building a tower close by me in shoreham longIsland ,

It was /is right on long Island sound.

What do you think about using the sound[salt water] or a lake for testing/getting a good ground??

of the timer circuit/transformer?

12V, 2 amps input... im using this circuit: http://web.archive.org/web/20080601042020/http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/gadgets/servo3.htm to activate a TIP31C transistor...

the transformer is I/P 220V 50Hz O/P 10V 1A , but im using it reversed, to step up!

the neon onload its at 90Volts... but the bulb, the maximum i get was 45V

i would expect to run this quite brightly with 220V and 45mA

but my circuit is not working good at all, dont know what to do...

You mention ONE transistor ?
How do you hook the transistor up to the timer and the transformer/ lamp?

Concerning your mains lamp experiment. How did you measure the current and where exactly?

its easy...

the timer output is just activating the transistor base, the primary from the transformer, one side goes to positive, and the other to colector of transistor! is this not right?

concerning my experiment, i have read the voltage between the diode positive, and the negative of load! and the amp draw, between the end of the resistance, and the lamp positive! its all very clear in the video...

that is FULL PROOF that a bulb off 100W will light up naice bright with just arround 10W input!

there's clearly a relationship between, input and brightness... and he is using transformers at the output to do measuraments, guess what?

anyone can prove me wrong? maybe bolt?
