There is way back on this thread a post about a russian transformer that uses a sheet of copper and wires are attached to it. Maybe that is what the author of the clip meant.

ferrite is a gate ? second source of energy is very high frequency ?

Watch the youtube linked to by grizli and then look also at the circuit in his link from that post.

I too, have a flyback running beautifully with 13007 and drawing very little to make an arc.

Initially, i was using 13009 and had some weird results - much more consistancy with 007's

Youtube user mishail1971 right?  Im living in Moscow at the moment and I have a day off on Tuesday - ill have a go at an amateurish translation of the video if this is the video with the MJE 13007's on a flyback.  Perhaps the schematic is available as a picture?  Then ill translate that too - it should get people working on this replication much quicker!

I'll tell Xee and Kooler on energeticforum.  I'm sure They'll be interested.
