For anyone interested: pulse a long coil of wire with hv dc at a slow rate and look for a charging effect like Tesla found.  You can bet your ass that TK started with this.

Per the norm you are wrong. Now imagine what could be made of copper and making that bottle shape on the end of his coil?

I suggested it was relevant, not new. The shorted copper loop is a copper water pipe reducer on the end. The PDF mentions the virtues of using shorted coils. I have done several experiments over the last year. It's golden.

Good morning
I would appreciate attention and report a small progression towards better understanding of a peculiar behavior in the disruptive discharge.
Everything what will be written here is only my observation through the experiments and it myth be a differently interpreted historically or through modern education.
First of all I would advise everybody to reproduce Tesla hairpin (I do not like the name “hairpin” and I surly believe he does not named it).
You will very fast see that disruptive discharge has specific properties what are closely related to the capacity, frequency and conductor/inductor and as you probably know dielectric properties closely dependent to the frequency.
Furthermore such a sudden rush of the current, what I observed, will produce an standing wave in the conductor paying special attention to proper length bridging two symmetrical capacitors between discharge (spark) gap. (Recalling ground wire length green box video and other)
This phenomena lately called “cold electricity” interpreted as HF and HV not fulfill observation.
I was so curious so I put the connectors in my mouth and felt only middles slow vibration like the engine rattle. From that I conclude that spark produced and possible measurement is the side effect end produce totally different effect changing initially condition.

If we then suppose that there is a charge between the earth and the air, we may replace one capacitor with a coil and a good ground connection trying to reproduce the effect. Very fast becomes clear that again the initial condition has to be adjusted and that we probably dealing with very the high frequency and it myth only a conductor capacity fulfill the balance (resonance) so we can move (extract) the capacitive charge of earh-air capacitor. Last night I was able to slightly fulfill this requirement but there is obvious that frequency must be much higher. Energy extracted was still minor as I believe regarding not proper condition. 

I will now refer to page 347, picture XIX and try to correct some misleading. This is capacitive (earth â€"air plate) discharge, in the back you see twisted pair primary coil only one turn and secondary free terminal just below primary and is connected to the metal ball, lowest and of the secondary is connected to the ground but in proper length. Energy is impressed toward ground (charging earth-plate capacitor) oppositely of ordinary TC. And at the end I would advise to pay attention to the page 274 and description referring the Colorado Springs notes.
I will continue to report a progression if any.
