as you may know they are extremely expensive, so many cant get them ,   Hv vacuum variables are like 100 pound  even simple air ones are
this one is only rated at 5kv it is up to 220 pf, and it is £69.13 + postage    £43.99
this device will be costing way more than solar panels.....  we need alternatives for expensive things

Where did you found big toroid ferrite core ? I've been  looking for it for months without success (of course I need resonable price too).I wonder if that is the biggest problem for replicating also Steven Mark device ;-)
