"The third peculiarity of the solution of the equation of motion (1.36), i.e., of the ac magnetization in a ferromagnet, is that the resonant behavior of the oscillation amplitudes occurs only under the influence of an ac magnetic field circular component with right hand rotation (relative to the direction of M₀)"

..which would mean that in order to achieve ferroresonance, not only rotating magnetic field matters, but the direction of this rotation matters as well.

Halfway down this article we see even Tesla had a hard time measuring this energy. It's effective output was measure way below what he figured on. It goes into the relationship between periods of time and how fast the oscillation discharges. My take is that it increases it capability to provide horsepower in a shorted time and it's relation to supplied power. The same amount of power is used but it is amplified in speed thus increasing it's effective power output by a capacitance discharge across a spark gap in a shorter time or frequency. So we use less source and get more bang for the buck.

Then start into his High voltage and high frequency lighting ideas. There is a transformer that should be Bifilar except it is half one direction twisting and half the other direction. I believe they call it a bucking transformer. Remember bifilar coils are unidirectional. There is zero self induction and only the resistance of the wire is taken into account for it's power capabilities. Using very high voltage pulses would drive any load. Winding the primary should be very very small gauge and the bifilar secondary should be wound with very thick gauge wire. This way it converts the field into very high currents through induction.

Tesla used a wooden rod and used rubber forms for the coils. No core. The secondary was wound on top of the primary and the whole thing was immersed into oil and boiled to remove oxygen from the coils. He might have used a slight vacuum as well and it took many boilings to remove all the oxygen. He noted that you can test the coil by exciting it slightly. This will allow you to see the bubbles because they light up. It's important to remove all bubbles because they will eat the insulation of the wires. I believe the primary was wound normally and only the secondary was wound bifilar like on both coils and connected together in series.

Tesla stated that the discharges from the secondary were very strange almost static like, like a Whilmherst Machine.

*note I might have the winding ratio's backwards but you only need to look at the lecture in question to learn the right way to make it.
