I think surrounding the gap with thick shields could minimize the hazard.
And this is no fear mongering, just information.
The fortunate thing is that you can replace spark gaps with solid state devices after understanding what frequencies you need and still achieve high frequencies in a healthy way.

Tesla used rotary spark gap , his usage of ordinary spark gap was only in initial devices. Remember also what was marked important in Gerry Vassilatos book, that Tesla understood the importance of exactness of each impulse.RF is disastrous to health condition, probably the same apply for radiant energy of multiple frequencies.

Get it from the guy on the corner, its called 'hash oil'...just make sure they use 'Naptha' of Isopropal alcohol to extract the oil from the plant.

I've seen the photo of the Kapadadze circuit in Reply #1260, which I have in a separate window of my computer's browser now.
Some concerns, thought out from my previous school electronics classes and my Dad's lecturing explanations while he experimented with electronics many years ago:

1) The "3-wire cable" appears to be soldered multiconductor cable.  Is it buried in, say, the ground?  Does the artist of the drawing know or say elsewhere?

2) I never seen a capacitor (high voltage) being connected with one side to 36VAC low voltage, and 3-6 kV VAC on the other side.  Is this hard on the capacitor?  Is in electrically possible?  Never saw such a thing before.  It doesn't seem very safe to do that to a capacitor.

3) Connection #1 on the cable is both connected to the spark gap and the 36 VAC secondary coil of TR-1.  The secondary is experiencing 3-6 kV AC on one side.  Also, connection #2 is grounded  through a secondary in TR-3.  Is that a good idea, with 36 VAC on the other side of the coil at high voltage?

4) Did the one who drew the circuit diagram know the voltage values of TR-3's coils?  There is no mention in the drawing.

5) Is there a prototype of the circuit?

NOTE:
I remember now Kapanadze actually buried his first prototype, didn't he?  The 3-wire cable could be in the ground.
