1.Tariel DID NOT USE ANY FERRITE!! in his coils.
2.Metal like pipes in 100KW( Turkey) are rapping tape (for parcels) in silver color.
3.These are pick up coils  ( no metal and no ferro-core)
4.The configuration you see in that video is NOT the working configuration in regards to details: where spark is and where spark should be.

At most these are interesting and important informations about magnetic amplifiers and correlated devices.

Magnetic amplifiers where competition to tube and transistor amplifiers the further improvement sized  in 1954.
Performance was equal but in some instances better than tubes and transistors of its time
The rigidity and dependability  af the concept is outstanding.
The power handled over million Watts was not unusual and very often applicable .

what is rapping tape ?

That what looks like big metal pipes (3 of them) -there is no metal and pipes are not pipes.Tape used typically to rap the parcels before you send them make an impression that  you see metal tubes.
