Hi all,
I thought well to run several qualification tests on my Caduceus coil prepared according to published doc.
INDUCTANCE
All the measures done with precision LCR meter TECPEL612.
Measured inductance L (at 1KHz) = 0.1uH; R=0.00Ohm  (this is well expected...)
RESONANCE
Connecting the Caduceus to a 560 Ohm resistor and to a Wavetek professional sinusoidal oscillator set to 10Vpp I have seen that the coil itself does start increase output from 10MHz till 20MHz that is the instrument's limit. No resonances found below said frequencies.
Paralleling the Caduceus with a decade capacitors bank it has been easy to see that :
- using as tank a 10n capacitor, the resonance f0 is strong @ 3.37MHz and the calculated Q=86
- using a 0.1uF capacitor , the resonance f0 decrease to 325KHz but the Q decrease as well to about 5 with a ten fold decrease in output voltage
It seems impossible to obtain a direct resonance with my Neon sign inverter that runs at about 35-50KHz.
Looking at the STAAAR team video clips I noted that the tuning cap should be arond 100 - 1500pf. So perhaps the tuning is done at about 10 *f0 (tenth harmonic...or the like). Is that true?

IMHO  “kacher”,  verbatim  - «swing reactivity».
This term is coined Russian inventor Brovin.
kacher - this is a special operating mode of the transistor.
If to interrupt current to the base of the transistor,  then in the collector there is a sharp jump potential. I showed the video with the same effect.
