The 1st of April? There are a lot of 1st of Aprils each year, I'm afraid.

So the investigation goes: A differential circuit breaker contains apparently a ferrite toroid that acts as a differential coil (hence the name). That means only the difference between two (or more) currents creates a magnetic field in that coil. Therefore the interesting part of this is the question what could happen when there is a three-phase capacitor (or three single capacitors) connected to that differential coil? Especially if one pole of the three-phase capacitor is connected to N (neutral, ground) as seen in the Stepanov demonstration? Could this create a special resonance? Or could this coil generate the gate voltage for a couple of thyristors so the whole setup goes into resonance with the ground connection?

And as a strange coincidence there are two differential coils (filters) visible in the center part of the Steven Marks TPU right next to the nice two capacitors. How can that be? Here are the suggestions: The differential coils are there just for decoration, they are there for filtering the radio interferences or they are there to make the device work.

Answer this riddle. If iron channels the magnetic field of a coil then what is acting on the large external coil? What other field is left after the magnetic field is channeled or locked away in the core of the two smaller cores?

Again if the magnetic field is sucked into the core then what field is left?

Have you ever heard of iron coated copper wire? Would there be a magnetic field around such wire?
