It only "makes sense" to stop pursuing cheap, clean, and safe energy alternatives for those who are making the Trillions in profits....

To the rest of us, the current situation of energy monopoly, and the secret tax we over-pay for the cost of energy because of it (...and all the other problems we face caused by it, such as "wars for oil").... Is a horrible situation that MUST change.

The horse and buggy was a huge business int he U.S. , that went bust in a few years after Ford came along... No disasters of society followed in that wake, the Bolsheviks didn't take over the world, and sky didn't fall in lol

Passenger trains were an even bigger business... And Trolleys carried tens of millions every day in our cities (...what they call "light rail" today) :

OIL killed those businesses in the U.S. (...other countries were smarter, and held on to their passenger rail systems). And there is clear evidence that "Big Oil", and their friends in the automotive industry, DELIBERATELY killed off the Trolleys... Screwing us royally by causing endless traffic jams in thousands of cities... SO THEY COULD SELL MORE OIL AND CARS... So they could create their monopoly on energy, complete their monopolies on transportation and "public electric utilities" (...which are really nearly all owned by corporations). Does it matter what brand of car we drive, what tires we use, what gasoline we purchase? Lol no. All that matters is we are stuck having to buy them. 

Amazing how traffic jams, who profit the oil corps most, are always an "insolvable" problem year after year, huh? To the point where we don't even question them any more.. We just assume it is an "inevitable fact of life" that "can't be solved"...

We can go to the moon, but we can't solve traffic jams How friggin STUPID are we lol?

Take the huge profits out of commuter traffic, and see how quickly it IS solved!

Think about that a minute: We are suffering miserable traffic jams in nearly all of our cities, only because THEY WANT US TO.

Would you Commuters like to have your "two hours a day" MONOPOLY ENERGY TAX back for your own "free time" use? Lol i know when i lived in the city, i would of loved that! Those endless hours spend in traffic jams were a huge and tragic waste, causing untold pollution... Wasting millions of barrels of oil a year... And costing us several hundred each in more gasoline and repairs: ADD THAT EXTRA MONEY UP OVER MILLIONS OF PEOPLE.

... Forced on us by criminal sociopaths who would DO ANYTHING to empty our pockets of more cash and maintain the control they have over us all.   

This idea that ending oil's reign would be "a bad idea" is puerile.

The fact is, that a hundred years ago many folks who used to be in the carriage trade eventually became millionaires in the auto business selling and servicing cars. There is no logical reason a similar orderly transition could not be done today over a few years' time... And breaking the energy monopolies, and lowering the cost of energy, will benefit Small Business greatly, and actually allow Capitalism Free Markets to WORK AGAIN; just like it created a manufacturing boom back 100 years ago... But on a much larger scale now... Restoring our Middle Class from the slow slide to poverty and "corporate feudalism" that we are experiencing now (...and not so "slow" these days, either). This new manufacturing boom will take the control of our economy back from the lying traitorous criminals and degenerate gamblers of Wall Street and the international banks.... And return it where it belongs: Main Street.

We see many "people" here that are always trying to tell us that free energy is "false".... Lol this site is infested with them now, seemingly more every day (why they spend so much time hanging out at a site dedicated to something they obviously DESPISE is an interesting question)... And when their denials don't work any more, then they start with the FEAR MONGERING.

And how some of them love to fear-monger about what will happen when the INEVITABLE finally arrives... When oil and coal are no longer the fuels of choice on this planet... And the world monopoly on energy is finally broken... The implied meme they are trying to push with this fear being:

"DON'T STUDY THESE TECHNOLOGIES !"

Why are they pushing this meme so hard here... Seemingly in every thread?

Because their usual methods of suppression don't work with Open Source... So all they can do is try to convince us to stop on our own.

So the only "Bad Idea" here, is listening to them.

some of what you say here is true.

cheap energy is N/A here in this world because the only way to make it effective is research which costs time and money for somebodies time and effort.

a world without money uses credits and a world without credits won't work, nobody will work for others for free forever, if you work for free it is limited to how much time you want to squander on others besides saving your own life, it is simple survival.

you can feed people bread to keep them alive but if you don't dip into the bread box you will starve to death. it is impossible to feed others without feeding yourself in return.

people can't live off of bread alone. this world is based on consumerism, the whole world. a world without money or credits will fall back to primitive times.

hopefully an asteroid doesn't kill us because we chose not to pursue it. rolling the dice I see. the human species goes extinct because they didn't have the required technology to survive.

the entire universe is built for one thing, the ultimate survival game.

do you feel like a rat in a maze within a zoo, you should because everybody is exactly that.

the last person or thing standing could be good or evil(philosophically), both have a 50/50 chance at being the last to stand, but the end result is always death.

this Universe is very cruel. step outside your own world, you will see.

I purposely live in a smaller town, it's more like a village but hey, if I get a half a dozen vehicles down my road it's a major traffic jam. the crime rate is actually quite rare, there aren't any drive by shootings and only two people in my town has been hung since 1849. very quiet town. especially in winter.

my only advice, don't live in large cities. 'period'
