It would be appreciated if anyone could reference a decent datalogging device..preferably USB based with support for Linux.

I'm trying to monitor simple voltage differences, or any other thing I can rig to monitor electromagnetic phenomenon.

I think it would be great to do this in multiple locations, I think that there may be some way to measure the earth's energy field, or what have you..

Something as simple as a lightning detector, etc.

I just want to hook it up to the PC and let it do the monitoring for long periods of time.
