Anyone having a real working OU design would loose tons of money by selling
plans instead of securing world wide manufacturing rights and patents.
Then he could become ridiculously wealthy by selling licenses to big companies.

No company in their right mind will buy a license for a OU design. OU is suicidal for business and business is not stupid. OU is the most anti-business pursuit in the the long run as there can be.

On the other hand, selling plans is the only way to make money on this and it's a very tacky pursuit, indeed. OU has nothing to do with business and the rewards for those involved in OU research are of a completely different type than financial rewards.
