I shake the ring and there is no sound whatsoever. The las thing I did was to pulse it over the compass and it makes the compass to spin each time I bring it near it and take it away with some rithm.

Dont worry I understand the principle. I am trying to read a pdf from Ed, dont remember how to write his second name.
Trying to fully grasp the concept and looking for a way to get out energy from it.

do they have any assymetrical-extentions like the broken-tube model?

when you are working with a compass, the "needle" is magnetized. meaning it is a magnet.
its attracted to the metal.
i dont think dave explained this in his video, i think he just naturally saw it and placed it in the right place so he could tell "off" from "on".

The compass is normally pointing in one direction. when its sitting there, and the needle has settled.

when you put current through the coil, the needle turns accordingly.

when the device is "ON", and the current removed,
the needle points in a DIFFERENT direction than the "normal".
break the current and the compass goes back to normal.

and by "normal" i mean, it will be some combination of the Earth's field, and the needles attraction to the metal, depending on how far away you place it.

am i understanding that you made a coil, slid it inside the tube,.
and then packed the tube with your oxide-mixture?

and about this mixture, is it just pure black-oxide powder?
dry? wet? is there anything else in there with it?
sorry if you mentioned this before, i may have overlooked the information..

i was thinking, that seems like a pretty simple concept,
that can easily be replicated.
and we can penetrate the tube to interface with the conductive material at specific locations.
