Vinyl player Needle ! Are made from rochelle salt , they convert mechanical stress to electrical pulse , like a diode that is activated by the pressure it is under.

On the link you see the salt in a clamp and two piece of aluminum foil , the voltage is between those two foil .

Now can a magnetic stress can induce the same effects , like a jt would create . That is the buck question.

But one idea could be to make a bedini base from it the motor vibration could then be extracted . Depending on the number of stone used could maybe pulse coils at the same rate the bedini dose.

Very interesting Bill, were those ceramics made of or contain Barium Titanate? You've just given me another idea. I make a pretty robust ceramic material out of alkali washed bentonite clay.
You can bind any material in it ( like quartz or tourmaline). It's a crap current carrier though but I do get my highest voltages across this stuff.

Wow, I did not know that.  I was always told as a kid that they were made of diamond, which would not make sense considering the softness of the vinyl records.  Thanks.

Yes, Barium Titanate sounds familiar. We machined several types but this one is probably the most common of them.  The big hockey pucks that zapped us so often were a bit of a green color, like gray/green.  Most of our work was in Al203 and ferrites.

Can your disks be hooked in parallel to up the current?

Do we have any new info on Hutchinson's cells and his latest designs?

I'll go get the pottery plaster tomorrow and post my results by Monday.

I seem to have waylaid myself, I have plaster of paris instead, I'll use this and see what happens.  Perhaps something interesting can happen with this.

How about placing a weight on a piezo element, give a few weeks to settle down, and see what voltage it produces. I wonder.
