There they are speaking this spinning nut makes his pole change in every 40 cm, they do assume that presumably in Space there are some zones what cause this kind of phenomene. On the end of video they speaking about that by the same way our Earth does change North and South pole - does it in every 12.000 years,

My opinion about these spinning nuts what change their poles  -  I think there is question about asymmetrical vs symmetrical body and unbalanced and balanced body,
Pole Shift changing depends about how badly actual object is unbalanced and about geometry - how asymmetric is one pole to another

The only thing I really wonder is that well educated cosmonaut uses steel hammer for affect to expensive gyroscope wheel
