Light get's polarized after it has been reflected.
A good example is light that is reflected by the ocean and specific polaroid types of sun glasses.
And your correct about the magnets they are not needed.
They only serve as a mirror and mirrors do not posess energy they can only reflect it.
It only looks like the light it reflects is comming from the mirror but in reality it still comes from the origional source.

Polarization does mean each time something different for everyone of us; we are local searchers, takink part to the wolrdwide New-Age.
Physicists pretend they have got the knowledge about gravity, but they cannot sent into the near space a little feather of a bird, wtihout spent 100 pounds of propellant...they don't impress me much
