I posted that video in 2006.  The inventor made improvements since then.  Another inventor in Hong Kong pumped compressed air to move inverted cups on a chain but both were just experimental prototypes.  The resulting output power was too small and the loss of energy was too much to become a viable product.

The James Kwok Hidro is much better.  It is NOT a simple floating system.  It uses energy of air and can be compared with firing a torpedo upwards at low speeds.  You can also imagine it as the toy air + water rocket firing upwards within a water column.  It requires sophisticated engineering and control.  Salute to James Kwok and team.

Looks as though this is really one to watch. A working prototype already on public display, along with more under construction  :o I sure hope we can get mass awareness before the MIB show up  ::)

Equations for the Hidro invention.  

I do not need to produce them.  They were produced years ago based on the soda bottle rocket.  Please read from reply 30 onwards in the following thread:

The Hidro works under the principle of compressed air+water propulsion.  It is better because the normal rocket firing upwards in air will be subjected to the downward force of gravity.  The Hidro will be subjected to an upward force due to buoyance!

The Hidro is literally rocket science.  It is an OPEN system with air and thermal energy flowing in and out.  Study the equations carefully.  Please do not accuse James Kwok as hoax again.
