Here is a video I made where I power a joule thief with a plasma ball which lights the joule thiefs led. I thought it was kind of neat,,as long as the plasma ball is on the joule thief lights up. Here is the video link from youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uA36b_nzgDs
