An Idea for an Engine that works on Magnetic Repulsion

I have an idea for an engine that uses the repelling forces of magnets to rotate a rotary.

I am going to try an attach a picture to this message of the device from a top view. The Spur gear in the picture that connects with the pop up piece has to have missing teeth to allow the piece to pop back up via the spring inside the pop up piece (an error on the drawer's part). The clamp pieces on both the arms and the pop up piece house the magnets which are rectangular in shape and have the poles at the end. They will be positioned so that they repel each other. The stationary magnet on the pop up piece won't move while the magnet on the arm will be repelled forward toward the next pop up piece. That pop up piece will then be pulled away (2 inches away) from the magnet and allow the magnet on the arm to go over it. Once the arm is exactly over and in front of that next pop up piece, the space on the spur gear will come into position allowing the pop up piece to go back into a position behind the magnet on the arm (I will provide an animation of an earlier model that is similar to this one that shows this process). Then the process is repeated again through the repelling forces.

Here's an animation of an older version which shows how the pop up pieces work and how the repulsion from the magnets on the clamp pieces move forward from the stationary magnets on the pop up pieces and how the gear turns on the rotary on the bottom which turns the spur gears which then turn the rack on the side of the pop up piece that brings the pop up piece away the magnet on the arm.

Think we've seen something like this before, the problem was any work done goes back into compressing the springs.
I picture it rotating for a while and slowly coming to a 'balanced' stop. You could do away with the bottom set of
'pushers' and the springs from the top 3, let gravity drop them back down to repel, but I still see the same problem.

Maybe but the numbers so far add to the contrary. the only thing I could see slowing this down if friction but oiling it should fix that.

If I could get a hobbiest who has knowledge of mechanical engineering to help build this for me. I could then prove whether it works or not.
