and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Gyro powered machine, assisted by the rotation of the Earth...

Hi,

The Earth is turning around. But if we make a very heavy gyro which spins at high RPM, the gyro will be forced to maintain its alignment regardless of the rotation of the Earth. To us it will seems like the gyro is turning angular to its rotation - which will take 24 hours to complete one turn. This very slow turn can in theory be used to spin the gyro. By using an incredible gear ratio, the rotation of the earth would then force the gyro to spin even faster.

Just an idea that crossed my mind after trying a toy which accelerate a gyro when I have it in my hand I twist my wrist it in all directions.

Any thoughts about how practical it would be to make such a machine? (Make it big enough we could stop the earth from spinning...)

EDIT: At 1000 rpm we would have a gear ratio of 1 / 1 400 000! That would be three gears with ratio of 1 / 113.

I found a link to a similar idea. Read about the potential energy we can harness from the kinetic energy in the spinning earth!

I came to the conclusion that a gyro powered machine is not worth the try. You need a quite big flywheel, at relatively high RPM. In theory it will work, but in practice the Earth rotation is too slow to make it practical possible to harness the kinetic energy in the Earth... maybe on other planets with much shorter days :)
