Hello everyone!

I've been researching about joule thiefs for a week now and have succesfully replicated the JT. Now I want to replicate the disposeable camera circuit. I've seen several threads regarding the fuji circuit but cant find any for a CVS camera. I did find some youtube video so I know it can be done, but nothing in detail where solder the wires to the board. Does anyone have schematics for a Cvs camera?

I am sorry, but I don't.  A possible quick and dirty way might be to find the capacitor, discharge it safley, (very important even if a new camera) and connect your wires to the cap + and -.  As far as installing a switch...you probably have to short something on the board to do this but...you can look at where the camera trigger button hit the board and possibly surmise from that.  It will be a lot of experimentation UNLESS Fuji makes the board for CVS but, it is probably a Kodak board or some generic one.  Good luck and post your results to help others.

The Cvs cameras i have all have LCD displays on them and take 25 pictures before you take them back and buy a new camera . This was a waste to me back in the early 1990's a mod came out to make a USB cable to save the pictures and computer software program was made to reset the camera so it can be used over and over . I have 4 of them and three CVS video cameras that all use This cable i made . I think it's a waste to destroy these cameras unless you got 100's of them . If you need a Camera circuit out of a Fuji. I have plenty . If you are in the us all i ask is just pay shipping and i'll seen you some .

Since the Cvs camera's seem to be harder to mod, I purchased a fuji camera from Walmart. I tore it apart followed the suggestions to cut one side of the diode, but once I cut the side, the circuit does not produce any volts. I reconnected the diode to the board and now I over 250 volts but I am unable to fully light a 13w cfl... I have a fuji A07 board. I followed the directions from this pic http://www.flickr.com/photos/60511976@N07/5519648005 posted by armookie. Any suggestions or am I just an idoit...

Richard:

Was it an AA board or AAA board?  As I mentioned in my pm to you, if you have not done so already, make sure you cut the opposite end of the diode with the silver stripe on it. (I think it is the anode, but don't remember)  I have not been able to find the "old style AA boards" here in my area for some time.  I miss those as they were the only ones i was able to get to work correctly.

Bill   ***EDIT***  I think I told you wrong in you pm.  Go by the photo...it works well.
