HHO or Brown's gas to run an engine. How is that possible please

He guys. Very nice community here.

If I understadn the physics of Brown's gas or HHO right, it implodes while ignition.
Is is it possible that some people claim taht there are running first on petrol and then on HHO only.

That would not work in a standard petrol engine.

Please help me understand this.
