Looks interesting, nice streamers, and seams to work well with no overheating.

   BTW:  The correct name is - Mazilli. The Italian guy's last name that designed that oscillator circuit.

   Thanks for doing the translation work on Oleg's latest board schematic. I hope that some one can replicate it, and get it to work right. 
 
   Did you notice my last post above, about the signal generator that I've borrowed? Although it seams to work ok, but, it's just a 2Mhz model. Maybe it can be used on the induction coil which is running in the Khz range.  I'll do some tests on it later today.
Any idea if maybe it can be modified to run at higher output frequency levels?  TK?

thanks, you are right, mazilli it is.

I am collecting the parts to build this latest design (on a breadboard first), thats why i wanted to know what was being written there.

I have seen the FG, looks nice and compact, you can use it for all kinds of things, especially in the KHz range.
But you should take some time to get to know it.
I worked with a 2Mhz FG for years (it actually went to 2.5Mhz off the scale).

With the square wave setting you can "ping" a coil and measure the ringing frequency (coils resonance frequency) with your scope, even if that is higher
then the FG maximum, see the latest post from Dog-One here (first screenshot):

That's right Nick, you can pulse the coil with a square wave pulse well below the resonant frequency, and look at the response, there will be "ringing" on the trailing edge of the response. This ringing will usually be at the coil's resonant frequency.

Just for illustration, the scopeshot below shows a ringing response pulse train, and the zoom of a single pulse showing the ringing. The cursors are positioned on one cycle to give the frequency of the ringing.

It will be good practice to do this on your analog scope with your FG.

Using a frequency-doubling circuit on the output of the FG probably isn't worth the effort. I've been looking on Ebay and I've seen some great deals on 50 MHz pulse generators....

you can see C5 having a value of 330, but i would like to know if this should be pF or nF or even 33nF

Below you see a snipped of this diagram with C5.
I guess it should be 330pF or better 33nF else the time constant / frequency with the 5K pot would be very low for 330nF.
33nF would be in the 6 - 33Khz range, which this circuit should work on.
Any suggestions?
